GMP Equalisation Consultation – Important Information for Deferred Members

We have recently written to certain deferred members of the Diageo Pension Scheme to notify them of a consultation relating to Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) equalisation and a proposed simplification of GMP benefits.

The letter has been sent to deferred members who:

• Have service in the Scheme between 1978 and 1997, and/or
• Previously transferred pension benefits into the Scheme that included a GMP element.

If you fall into one or both of these categories, please look out for the letter, which explains the proposal and how you can share your views as part of the consultation.
